Mental health care: Should students have better access?

A new report released by a parent advocacy group in Ontario suggests that children in schools lack access to adequate mental health care. Released by People for Education, the findings show that while more and more kids are being diagnosed with mental health issues, they are not being met with adequate professional resources.
Based on a survey of Ontario principals, the report suggests that less than half of the province's secondary schools are able to offer students access to psychologists and youth workers.
