Every day I get dozens of emails and tweets from viewers. And yes I also
get letters. (Remember letters? They go in things called envelopes - then you
lick something called a stamp, stick it on the envelope and put the envelope in a big, red box. Somehow, a few days later, that
envelope gets delivered to the person you were writing it to. What a
concept!) But I digress.
Often these communications from viewers are critical, challenging us to
explain our actions. I try to answer all of them. Sometimes though, the messages
are more than critical -- they're almost obscene. Those ones go straight into
the waste bin -- real or virtual.
But we get nice comments too, and some of them are really nice. This one
struck a chord with me. A deep appreciation for the work some of our
correspondents do in the field. And I wanted to share it with you. It's from a
viewer named Andrea Walker.
