A farmer near Chaseburg, Wis., says it's the most unusual event in his 40-plus years of farming — the birth of triplet calves, and all survived.
Daniel Sisbach says his farm, near the tiny Vernon County village of just a few hundred people, has seen a lot of twins, but never triplets.
The odds of having live triplet calves is only one in about 105,000.
The two males and one female are healthy and thriving, Sisbach says.
The births on Sept. 11 — the anniversary of the 2001 attacks in the U.S. — generated so much attention that the miracle calves now have a Facebook site dedicated to them.
