The National Hockey League's decision to lock out the players Saturday, putting the season in jeopardy, has not only drawn the ire of sports fans and proud Canadians, it's now getting the Taiwanese animation treatment.
Next Media Animation, which first drew international attention with a depiction of Tiger Woods' car crash amid revelations of his marital infidelities, has applied its graphic talents to the sporting dispute.
The animated clip, posted on YouTube, features presumed NHL owners and players in an on-ice brawl, swinging both fists and hockey sticks. It also shows a hockey player and a NHL executive sitting down at the bargaining table and dining on poutine, with the executive grabbing all the fries, cheese and gravy for himself.
