Guinness World Records says a Japanese fashion designer can lay claim to the tallest mohawk in the world.
Kazuhiro Watanabe's hair stands 3 feet 8.6 inches (1.13 metres) high.
Watanabe, who has held the title of tallest mohawk since January 2001, was in New York City on Wednesday to promote the 2013 edition of the Guinness Word Records book, which is including him for the first time.
It takes stylists two hours, a can of gel and three cans of hairspray to prepare his high-altitude mane.
Watanabe, 44, has been growing his hair for 15 years, and said he started it as a statement against Japanese social conformity.
