Chinese manufacturers and retailers of sex dolls, toys and vibrators are turning their attention to increasing demand from their fellow citizens.
State newspapers reported that, in 2010, the Chinese sex toy market was worth approximately $2 billion US.
At the Ningbo Yamei factory, for instance, two-thirds of the 300,000 vibrators it made last year stayed in China, Reuters reports. The remaining third went to Japan, the EU and other foreign markets.
