Hyundai Elantra is Canadian show's car of the year

The Hyundai Elantra has been named car of the year at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.
The award, announced Thursday, was created by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).
The winner was chosen by the AJAC after four days of testing 170 new 2012 vehicles.
The other two finalists for car of the year were the Hyundai Accent and the Kia Optima.
Other awards given at the 2012 show were:
- Utility vehicle of the year: Volkswagen Touareg TDI Clean Diesel.
- Best new design: Hyundai Veloster.
