About 12% of Canadian kids obese

Nearly 12 per cent of Canadian children aged five to 17 are obese, according to Statistics Canada, which also notes that the prevalence of overweight and obese children hasn't increased over the past decade. By comparison, nearly one-fifth of American children (aged two to 19) are obese, says the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
