Map: Russia, United States hold largest inventory

Nearly 4,800 operational nuclear warheads are believed to be held in reserves around the globe, according to the Federation of American Scientists.
While the precise nuclear capability of each country is not known, the FAS has made estimates of each country's total inventory, including the stock of operational strategic warheads which can be deployed on short notice.
