How Tolerant Are We?

This is the second part of our multi-part series "Who Do We Think We Are?", exploring cliches about Canada as well as the country's true culture, at home and on the world stage.

Canada has a reputation for being welcoming and tolerant. But is it true?

That's the focus of the second part of our series "Who Do We Think We Are?"

We have some answers. A CBC News - Environics poll finds that many Canadians think that specific groups face intolerance.

One-third believe Aboriginal people and Muslims are frequent targets of discrimination.

Twenty-eight percent think that Pakistanis and East Indians face intolerance.

And twenty percent think that Black Canadians are regularly subjected to it.

So what is the impact? Our National team set out to find out.
