Abortion rights is a defining issue of Federal Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau's leadership. In P.E.I., the only province where surgical abortions aren't performed, Liberal Premiers Robert Ghiz and now Wade MacLauchlan have said they have no plans to change that.

Federal Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau was in P.E.I. the past couple of days supporting provincial Liberal Leader Wade MacLauchlan's election campaign.

During Trudeau's only media conference of the trip, reporters asked about the one issue that might divide the two leaders: abortion.

Trudeau has made abortion rights a defining issue of his leadership. P.E.I., is the only province where surgical abortions aren't performed, and where Liberal Premiers Robert Ghiz and now Wade MacLauchlan have said they have no plans to change that.
