Your Photos: Toronto garbage strike

A weekend of intense bargaining has produced "the basis for a deal" that could bring a swift end to the strike by municipal workers in Canada's largest city.
The most visible effect of the 35-day strike has been the mounting piles of rotting garbage growing at temporary dumps across the city. But many other services, including city-run daycares, ambulances and applications for building permits have also been affected.
Here are some photos of what Torontonians certainly won't miss about the past month.

Has there been illegal dumping in your neighbourhood? Send us your photos and videos.

Well all I can say is when i put my garbage out, it will only be for recycling, my garbage container is still empty, i did manage to get rid of about 2 small bags of green stuff food scraps, where i was working, but i could of held off, and kept them till the strike was over, i'm appalled at much this city wastes, this just isn't right.

Unions are the menace for big companies these days. Federal and provincial government should come up with new legislations that would protect the employees and ABOLISH the UNIONS.
For a developed country like Canada, I am ashamed to see people being irresponsible of our society. This is the time the people should all work together to bring the country back to shape instead of playing political games for a short term benefits.
Please do not build castle in the dreams and work hard to achieve your dreams.
