About/Bio:I am from Esfahan, Iran.
My take: I took part in a protest on June 15, 2009 against Iran's presidential election that put Mahmoud Ahmadinejad back into power. We want to say NO to him and his government. This is not what people want. They changed the result of the election to make Ahmadinejad the president.
In previous elections, they used to announce the result of counting the votes from 4 a.m. in the day after the election. And they used to announce the result by their locations. For example they used say Esfahan had two million eligible Voters and X percent voted for Mr. X and Y percent for Mr. Y.
This time, they didn't report the result in details. They just said, Mr. Ahmadinejad received 63 per cent. And now, after three days, they are revealing the result in details. They are making fake numbers. We are not stupid!!!
We had the demonstration in different parts of the city. I couldn't take good photos, because it was so dangerous for me to take out my camera. If the police get me, they mark me as a spy and I would be in big trouble.
The Police forces and Basjiees beat and tortured people by using tear gas and some unknown equipment.
Please keep my name private. Just say, Mahmoud from Esfahan. A friend of mine in Canada sent me your website address and asked me to put my experience here.

Mahmoud, your candidate announced the results of the election even earlier declaring victory. I doubt that you are even from Iran, and the veracity of these photos is questionable given the complicity of a certain agency who's plans were announced to foment just such events several times.
It's too bad that you can't get a balanced report of what's going on there - but hey, neither can we.
I was really affected by the photos above. Imagining these scenes as a part of my life is pretty much impossible to do.
Mr. Mack's comment stressed disbelief and a different version of the "facts". I hope we don't spend too much time on the "truth" and do what we can do ensure right and just action for the Iranian people.
Why don't they hold another election?
Bob Mack, please keep quiet if you have nothing intelligent to say. Your comments are confusing, irrational, and accusatory. You are negating even the fact that there is a riot in Iran, which is well documented daily. Please read more and keep up-to-date with international news. It should not be difficult with internet, different news channels, etc..
I would encourage everyone to watch some of the videos posted on the youtube. simply type neda or Tehran after elction; ....
