Sarah Turnbull
Bio/About: I am a Canadian who took a leave of absence from my day job in August. I worked as a management consultant for the Democratic Party of Indiana, and then for New Hampshire. It was an amazing experience. With my organization, at least 31 Canadian volunteers came to New Hampshire to help out in the final weeks. I'm now in Washington to witness the historic inauguration of president-elect Barack Obama.
My take: Join me as I celebrate this historic moment. Here are some photos and videos of day one of the celebrations.

The team from Edmonton (Sarah Turnbull, Matt Oberhoffner and Ryan Adam) is ready to go!

The best thing the Canadian Government could do is to invite Barick Obama, his wife and children to spend a day or so with Stephen Harper, his wife and 2 children at the PM's residence, perhaps inviting our head of state to join them.
This would probably cement relations with our most important partner, and erase the multi-year anti-American diatribe engaged in by the Chretien and Martin Liberals.
I just found your interesting story and your proposed media trip to Washington! I can only envy you for getting in so close and being a part of this historic moment for Barack Obama as he is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America! I will be definitely be following your footsteps from my own home as a fellow Canadian, so enjoy yourself, pat yourself on the back for all your hard work and consider yourself quite lucky eh!
Have fun Sarah.
Ms. Turnbull is a great example of the best and brightest from Alberta; and from Canada.
Sarah and her friends helped change come to the U.S.A. and gives me hope that we will see the same kind of hopeful that someday soon change and hope will come here at home as well.
Just FYI for all the readers, Elaine Flis (Pictured here) is also a Canadian: She's down to help out from Toronto's Parkdale-Hyde Park area. Way to go girls!
