Caucus: Former deputy caucus co-ordinator. Former critic for Public Service; Natural Resources; Heritage (Culture/Economics); Industry. Former chief whip. From September 2001 to April 2002, he sat in a parliamentary coalition in the House of Commons, serving as deputy leader and Industry critic. Former deputy House leader and House leader. Became the Conservative party's critic for Indian Affairs and Northern Development (Northern Economic Development) in January 2004.
