Career Background: He is a member of the Ojibways of Onegaming First Nation in northwestern Ontario. Is the Aboriginal Liaison Teacher for the Canadian Rockies Public Schools. Has taught at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary, Alta. Has worked at the Banff Centre in Banff, Alta. as a Creative Facilitator in the Aboriginal Leadership Program. Was a guidance counsellor at Morley community school on the Stoney First Nation, west of Calgary, supporting students in a k-12 school. Served six years as a teacher and guidance counsellor on the Tsuu T'ina Nation, southwest of Calgary; in Surrey, B.C.; and for the Calgary Board of Education, working with inner-city youth and adult learners. Has also worked with Outward Bound Canada, guiding expeditions for aboriginal youth-at-risk. In the mid 90s, worked for Nova Corporation of Alberta, a pipeline company based in downtown Calgary, while attending the University of Calgary.

Community Activities: Has been involved with community theatre in Banff and Calgary. Is involved with the CRPS Futures Planning Process as a member and a liaison. Has been involved with Youth for the Future as a facilitator. Has worked with Big Brothers and Sisters of Calgary as a big brother. Has been a participant in CAUSE Canada run in Canmore, Alta. Has worked with the Morley Community Food Bank.
