Is also past president of the Société génealogique du Nord-Ouest. Has received several awards including the Queen’s Jubilee Medal (2003) and Ambassador for the Centennial of Alberta (2004).

Adele Boucher Rymhs

Education: Earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Alberta.

Career Background: Taught junior high school in Peace River for 21 years.

Community Activities: She previously served as president of the Peace Country Bison Association and treasurer for the Grimshaw and District Agriculture Society. She is a strong supporter of the Canadian Wheat Board and a sponsor and organizer for the Peace River Museum and Archives expansion. She also currently serves as secretary for Citizens Against Nuclear Development, vice-president of Nuclear Free Alberta and an active opponent of a nuclear plant on the Grimshaw Gravels Aquifer. She was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal for her contributions to the community.
