Community Activities: Hockey coach, power-skating instructor and member of the Canadian Property Rights Research Institute Advisory Board.

Party: Was a member of the 1998 Reform Alberta Senate nomination committee. A volunteer for Dave Hancock's 1997 election campaign, a member of Rahim Jaffer's 1997 nomination campaign team and a volunteer for the 1995 Edmonton civic election. Former director of the Edmonton Strathcona Reform Constituency Association (1994).

Was elected to the council of the Alberta Association of Registered Nurses.
Community Activities: Former president of the Alberta Association on Gerontology and currently vice-chair of the board of Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton’s professional choir.
