Community Activities: Has volunteered with the Girl Guides of Canada, the Ottawa Public Library, the Manotick Community Association, the Ottawa South United Soccer Association and the Ottawa Food Bank. Also writes a column on environmental issues for a community newspaper serving the south of Ottawa. In 2004, she and her husband received an honorable mention from the Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation for their work in preserving natural shoreline in the Manotick area of the Rideau River.
