She is currently working full-time as a registered practical nurse (RPN) at Manitoulin Centennial Manor, a nursing home in Little Current.

Community Activities: Volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society as an educator on informing women and men about cancer risks. She also served as a trainer for the Palliative Care Association of Manitoulin and Sudbury.

Career Background: With a background in journalism, has published an Aboriginal newspaper in northern Ontario and has also worked as a reporter at the Elliot Lake Standard. Is the co-editor of the book, This Is My Homeland, on the experiences of members of the Serpent River First Nation and the impact on their lives from uranium mining at Elliot Lake. Has extensive experience in forestry and mining and has worked to build a number of natural resource development initiatives in northern Ontario. Was involved in developing the first Aboriginal-owned forestry marketing co-operative in Canada.

Community Activities: Is a member of the Serpent River First Nation and is a long-time advocate for environmental and social justice issues. Has supported sustainable non-timber forest product development in northern Ontario through organizing, research, writing, advocacy and regional and national conferences.

Community Activities: Member of French Elementary Catholic School council, Georges Vanier School, 1997-2003; last position held was vice-president. Active member of the French Public Secondary School Council, Ville Françoise de Jeunes, since 2003. Successfully organized fundraising events for liver transplant recipients. Participated in election campaigns for all levels of government for the past 13 years including the 2003 Ontario provincial election where she was a member of the Peter Denley canvass team. In 2003, she was the organizer for Rick Hamilton's successful municipal campaign.
