Career Background: In 1993, she worked as a facilitator at the Maison des jeunes de Sainte-Julie, a provincewide community organization offering recreational activities to youth. She entered politics in 1995, first serving as press attaché to Léandre Dion, Saint-Hyacinthe's representative in the Quebec national assembly, and then serving as communications offer to Yvan Loubier, the Saint-Hyacinthe-Bagot representative in the House of Commons.
Community Activities: From 1998 to 2005, she regularly took in teens with intellectual disabilities and cultural exchange students for foster care. Since 1989, she has been serving on the boards of directors and volunteering for several community and sports projects in the Quebec regions of Acton and the Maskoutains. In 1999, she won the Philippe Roussillon for la Francophonie award in Paris. From 1998 to 2000, she served as president of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste society in Richelieu-Yamaska and has been serving as the society's president in Papineau since 2003.
