Career Background: She is a professional violinist and a former member of the Canadian Forces reserves. Currently, she is employed at Katimavik, a national youth service organization that has been providing volunteer opportunities for Canadian youth for 30 years.

Community Activities: She served two terms as a councillor for the faculty of arts and science on the Concordia Student Union's council of representatives. She was also involved with QPIRG-Concordia, a student funded, non-profit organization dedicated to motivating grassroots activism, as co-coordinator of a working group promoting fair trade.
