Career Background: Municipal councillor for the Town of Château-Richer for eighteen years.

Community Activities: For five years in the 70s, was member of a choir at the Basilique Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré; was also guitarist for several groups during this time. Member of the local optimist club and for several years helped train high school students for the speech festival. Along with his wife, for more than five years helped train young people for the sacraments in his community. He is one of the three founding members of the Télévision commununautaire de la Côté de Beaupré.

Municipal: Councillor for the Town of Château-Richer since 1989, finishing his fifth term in 2009. Also sits on different regional and local committees.

Career Background: Served as president and CEO for a number of national wildlife and forestry organizations in the province. Operated a goose and duck natural breeding farm for the past seven years. With his wife, produces regional foods for the local population and restaurants.

Community Activities: Served as spokesperson for the Union Paysanne, which supports a system of agriculture designed to offset what it regards as the monopoly of union representation and the agri-food industry lobby. Was a Canadian delegate to side conferences on climate change held in Bali by the United Nations in December 2007. Has also contributed to radio and television programs such as La Semaine Verte and Becs et Museaux, and other information programs on CBC, TVA, TQS, Télé-Québec, Fox and Global Television.
