Career Background: Director of Laval University's political science department. Has published numerous scientific articles and academic reports and three books on the relationship between politics and religion. Was involved in creating courses on religious sects, democracy and the law, and religion and culture in Canada and Quebec at Laval University. In 2003, became a member of the advisory committee for the provincial government's secretariat for religious affairs and was appointed to an expert panel on freedom of thought and religion by the minister of foreign affairs in 2004.

Community Activities: Was a member of numerous professional and academic organizations such as the Council for the Sociology of Religion and the Sociology Institute of the Université libre de Bruxelles, the largest university in Brussels.

Former assistant director of Quebec tourism marketing, and director of tourism to the Quebec legation in Boston. Founded BCM Communication-Marketing and is currently its CEO. Started a theatre troupe and recording production company, Les disques Pylones.

Community Activities: Musical director and choirmaster of two choruses that perform in senior citizens residences.
