He was also involved in the establishment of Kino 132, the Gaspésie chapter of Kino, an international movement dedicated to providing filmmakers with a place to screen their short films. Also teaches snowboarding and provides training videos to schools.

He also founded AVIRAN Biotechnologies, which specializes in research in biotechnology. He has worked in France and Quebec over the years, working with several businesses and conducting research on Alzheimer's disease, genetics, and bacterial and microbial biodiversity.

Career Background: In addition to being a professional pilot, is also a fisheries expert in fishing techniques and products processing, and has experience in the field of business administration. Has been director of the Société de gestion d'immeubles et de copropriétés (SOGECO), a property and condominium management corporation founded in Gatineau. Was also the manager of several businesses, a college instructor and member of professional associations. He additionally worked abroad for international organizations such as the World Bank and the Canadian International Development Agency.
Community Activities: Is a founding member of Action des patriotes gaspésiens, a local political movement.
