Electoral History
Provincial: First elected in the riding of Kent South in a 1971 by-election. Re-elected in the 1974 and 1982 provincial elections. Defeated in 1978 and 1987.
Federal: Ran unsuccessfully in Beauséjour in 1988 and 2006.

Provincial: Volunteer worker for the Liberal party in various elections
Federal: In 1990 served on the Chrétien Committee, and in 1993 was coordinator of the Liberal Leader's Tour of Atlantic Canada. Ran unsuccessfully in the riding of Beauséjour-Petitcodiac in 1997. Elected there in 2000, re-elected in the re-named riding of Beauséjour in 2004 and 2006.
