Career Background: Currently the owner of Rodger Cuzner Hockey Projects. He has been an owner and co-owner of two hockey schools running summer camp programs. From 1990 to 1995, he was co-owner and president of Big Top Rental, which served many major events in the area. He was a sports columnist with Fort McMurray Today and has been a colour commentator for CJOK Radio Station and for the Oil Barons home games. He has coached teams at all levels and was head coach of Team Nova Scotia at the Canada Games. He has been head instructor for numerous hockey schools and has been actively involved with the Canadian Hockey Association's Program of Excellence. Before his election, he worked as the special event coordinator for the Cape Breton Department of Recreation, Culture and Facilities. In this role, he was responsible for organizing such major events as the Millennium Countdown 2000, which attracted 10,000 people and was broadcast on CBC, the Boardwalk Busker Festival, the ceremonies for the National Little League Championships in Glace Bay and the Action Week Kick-Off Concert.
