While the "Culture en peril" video sensation continues to attract significant viewers on Youtube, the Liberal party also broke into the top five most viewed videos with two entries.
Top 5 YouTube Videos - October 3, 2008
Coming in at number two this week is the video of Harper's plagiarized speech prepared by the Liberal war room and publicized by Liberal party foreign affairs critic Bob Rae. In just four days the video has had over 37,000 views – some of them from an embedded version of the video located at the New York Times. More surprising is our fifth most viewed video, the Liberal campaign's daily "Journal de campagne – Jour 21" a daily video record of Dion and the leaders tour. In the French language video Dion goes after the Prime Minister for his overly partisan attacks on the opposition parties for their views on the war in Afghanistan. The video ends with a Jack Layton look-a-like saying "I'm Jack Layton and I support Stephane Dion".
