Cherniak's post includes the Youtube video "Calgary 9-11 Truth meets Jack Layton" , which has received close to 5000 views. Cherniak's follow-up post, which notes the media's coverage of the story, also implies that a number of other NDP candidates hold controversial views on 9-11. NDP bloggers have, however, been quick to respond to Cherniak's attacks.

"SeaninSaskatchewan" comes in at number four this week. Sean's post argues in part that: "Through a series of unrelated pieces of info Mr. Cherniak has decided to try and drive-by smear the New Democratic Party and its leader Jack Layton in particular. Sean argues Cherniak's so called "in depth" investigation is full of innuendos and out-of-context video clips." Check out the comments section of this blog for a healthy debate over the "progressive" vote between the Liberal and NDP crew, including a response from Cherniak.

The week's 2nd most talked about post has Stephen Taylor noting CBC news' position on the controversial opinion article posted by Heather Mallick. Taylor's post has elicited an avalanche of comments on his blog, 99 at last count. "Paul M" for example writes: "If She had written about Muslims in that manner She would be facing a human rites tribunal right now." While "Anon" counters: "But she was writing about a political candidate. Is criticism of people off-limits now?"

Popular independent blogger "A Dime a Dozen Political Blog" lands in fifth place this week with a post claiming that the Liberal's candidate in Prince George, Drew Adamick, is a Green shift critic– yet another example of a candidate who thought the "delete" button on their blog actually removed their controversial thoughts from years past.
