Protection of the Peel watershed is one of the most contentious issues of the campaign.

The Yukon Party refuses to say whether or not it supports the Peel commission's final recommended land use plan for the region.
The plan, released in July, recommends that 80 per cent of the region be protected from development. First Nations and other groups want to know where the Yukon Party stands.
In an interview with CBC Yukon reporter Nancy Thomson, leader Darrell Pasloski said he agrees there should be some protection, but he wouldn't say whether his party would endorse the recommended plan if re-elected.
"My answer to that is we haven't finished that process and we have to be able to follow it through," he said.
He chided the other political leaders for taking a position and questioned their '"type of leadership."
"There's still one more round of consultation, and as time goes on, there's more and more questions and things that are being raised about this and so we need to get through the final part of the process," said Pasloski.
"Otherwise what we're saying as a government is that you know what, consultation doesn't mean anything because we've already made up our mind as what we're going to do."
The Liberals, NDP and Green Party all say they'd accept the commission's plan if elected.
The four affected First Nations have also said they are prepared to endorse the plan even though it protects less than the 100 per cent of the region they were asking for.
