Windsorites can keep feeding pigeons, strays
Council has decided no pigeon-feeding bylaw is needed
Windsor city council agrees with the public safety standing committee that no bylaws need to be passed dealing with the regulation or prohibition of the feeding of pigeons or stray animals.
Lee Anne Doyle the city's chief building official says there are enough "tools" in place to handle such complaints.
"One of the things that we will be doing is certainly more education, not only with our 311 staff, but certainly with the public in understanding what these bylaws," Doyle said. "Currently, we have three bylaws. We've got the property standards bylaw; we also have a nuisance bylaw; we have the keeping of animals bylaw."
