A Windsor woman is wanted for assault after allegedly trying to run down her common-law husband with his car on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the man stepped in front of his car to stop the woman from driving away.

Robin Brierley, 45, is alleged to have driven toward him in an attempt to hit him, then sped off with him clinging to the hood.

The man eventually lost his grip, and was treated in hospital for scrapes to his forehead and hands, as well as  for sore ribs and difficulty breathing.

Brierley is wanted for criminal negligence causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, mischief damaging property and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

She was driving a white 1994 Chrysler LHS with the licence plate number BECZ 767 at the time of the incident, police said.
