Windsor woman runs down men with car after altercation

A 24-year-old Windsor woman is in police custody after an early Sunday morning confrontation with a man in the downtown core, police say.
Windsor police say witnesses have told them two men were walking southbound through the parking lot located on the west side of Pelissier, south of Wyandotte, when a woman drove directly at both men at a high rate of speed. (CBC News)

A 24-year-old Windsor woman is in police custody after an early Sunday morning confrontation with a man in the downtown core, police say.

The man and his friend walked away from the altercation, but police report the woman then went to her car and ran both men over in a nearby parking lot on Pelissier Street, south of Wyandotte Street.

Both men were taken to hospital. One was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released. The other male suffered severe head trauma and is in serious condition.

The woman is facing charges of attempted murder.
