Windsor's unemployment falls to 7.8%

Windsor's unemployment dropped to 7.8 per cent in December.

Windsor's unemployment dropped to 7.8 per cent in December.

That's down from 8.5 per cent the month before.

Windsor's unemployment rate is now six tenths of a percentage point above the national average of 7.2 per cent.

Windsor now has the fifth-highest unemployment rate in Canada, better than St.Catharines (8.8), Toronto (8.4), Trois Rivieres (8.3), Saint John (8.0), Montreal (8.0) and Abbotsford (8.0).
