A salt mine worker escaped with minor injuries after an explosion at a facility in west Windsor, Ont., on Wednesday morning.
Bruce Skeaff, a spokesman for the Ministry of Labour, said the accident happened at the Windsor Salt Mine.
Skeaff said the worker was driving a machine used to move material inside the mine near a "live face", which is the face of a rock getting ready to be blasted, when a set of live explosives detonated.
The worker was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Skeaff said the Ministry of Labour is investigating.
This is the second recent injury at the salt mine. A man was injured when the truck he was driving fell down a mineshaft earlier this month.
