Windsor home show draws thousands at new venue
Old GM transmission plant home to new, bigger show
Thousands of people flocked to west Windsor for a one-of-a-kind show.
It was the first time that The Home and Garden, RV and Recreation, Boat and Powersports shows came together under one roof for one event.
Show producer Stuart Galloway said this year's chosen space, GM transmission plant, made room for record numbers of visitors and exhibitors.
"There [were] over 300 exhibitors this year and [we] set record attendance for any show in Windsor as far as consumer [or] trade shows go," Galloway said.
Galloway said there's even more room to grow next year.
"We've got 170,000 square feet of exhibit space this year. At any of our larger shows in the past we've never been over 60,000 because we were limited to the size of the facility," Galloway said. "But now really we have unlimited space here and we certainly have room to grow for next year."
