Ukrainian-Windsorite worried about family in East Ukraine
Nina Zeleney is worried there will be more unrest as tension in Crimea continue to unfold
A woman from the Windsor area who has family in Ukraine said she's worried about her home country.
Nina Zeleney is a first generation immigrant.
She moved to Canada when she was a child.
Much of her family is still in East Ukraine.
She said some of them fear more unrest after Crimea has officially joined Russia.
Zeleney's family is worried President Vladimir Putin will try and annex the rest of Ukraine.
"It's just the instability," she said. "This is a family that I've had to support financially over the years and I was always hopeful that some day they would enjoy the freedoms that I have."
