Two Windsor children injured in weekend accidents
Two children injured in separate incidents over the weekend
A Windsor man accidentally hit his four-year-old daughter with a car Sunday afternoon.
Police say it happened on Victoria Avenue.
The girl’s father thought his car was safely in park, when he accidentally hit the gas pedal.
His daughter was between two family vehicles when the car moved forward, pinning her.
The girl’s mother also suffered minor injuries as she moved in between the vehicles as she tried to get to her daughter.
Both are currently in stable condition in hospital. Police say no charges will be laid at this time.
In a separate incident over the weekend a seven-year-old boy suffered serious burns after setting his shirt on fire.
It happened on Josephine Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
Police say two brothers were trying to set their toy race car on fire.
The boy was treated for burns to his stomach.
He is now home from the hospital.
