Two more arrests in Sarnia forcible confinement case

Two more people have been arrested in connection to an assault that occurred at a business on Plank road on Monday. 

Police were called to the business to investigate a break and enter, but eventually learned the 24-year-old suspected burglar was actually the victim of a brutal attack. 

Officers then arrested the 51-year-old owner, who they say "fabricated a plot" to lure the man to the area, then staged a break and enter.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and public mischief.

On Wednesday, police arrested a man and a woman also believed to be involved in the assault. The woman was charged with aggravated assault. The man was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of forcible confinement and two counts of assault with a weapon.

The victim was treated for his injuries and is expected to survive.
