Two people found walking near a car that was stolen and crashed have been arrested.

Amherstburg police were alerted to a single-vehicle collision on September 16 around 8 a.m.

No one was found in the crashed silver Chrysler Aspen, but officers found two people walking nearby at determined they were involved in the collision.

While speaking with the two, officers were told the vehicle had been reported stolen from Leamington.

The suspects were transported to the OPP station in Leamington. Provincial police will take over the investigation as it occurred in their jurisdiction.
