Chrysler's Windsor Assembly Plant down for 2nd day
Idle plant now means other local factories are cutting shifts during parts shortage

Production is still down at Chrysler Canada's Windsor Assembly Plant in Windsor, Ont.
The halt to production is due to to a parts shortage. The midnight shift did not report for work Thursday.
The company says Thursday's day shift is also cancelled. However all hourly skilled trades workers should continue to report to their scheduled shifts.
The plant produces the company's flagship minivans. It employs about 4,600 workers.
Chrysler continues to monitor the situation and will have future updates later in the day.
In the meantime, the shutdown is affecting plants which supply parts for the minivan.
Midnight shifts at Dakota Integrated Systems, H.B.P.O. and Syncreon were cancelled and the day shifts at H.B.P.O. and Syncreon are also cancelled Thursday.
