The former Grace Hospital property in west Windsor has a potential buyer.
Tony Battaglia is president of Westpark Developments, the first mortgage holder for the Grace site.
He confirmed to CBC News this afternoon there is a possible buyer.
Battaglia won't reveal the name of the buyer until the deal closes. That's expected to happen Friday afternoon.
The city put the property up for sale after the mortgage holder failed to pay the back taxes on the old hospital. The deadline for the bids to be submitted to the city is a week from today. The bill totals $1.2 million.
However, Battaglia still has until Aug. 21 to pay the back taxes. That would happen if the sale closes Friday.
Battaglia had the opportunity to make a deal with a potential buyer, as long as that purchaser pays the back taxes.
Battaglia says under the sale agreement the city would be paid its back taxes.
