Windsor's new basketball team will be called the Windsor Express, according to an official with the National Basketball League of Canada.
Team spokesperson Shalece Daniels refused to comment, but a website for the Windsor Express exists with links to the National Basketball League of Canada site, which is hosted by Pointstreak.com.
"If it's linked to our website, if it's on Pointstreak, it's true," the league's media contact Anthony Bennett told CBC Windsor.
A Twitter account by the same name has existed and been active since May 3. A Facebook page also exists.
The logo features a steam engine powering its way out of a basketball.
"It's been out there for a while," Bennett said of the name and logo.

Members of the Canadian Transportation Museum found Engine 5588 at the CN Rail yards in London, Ont. in 1961. It was slated to be scrapped.
The group negotiated a sale price of approximately $3,500 and had the steam engine shipped to Windsor and restored.
No name or venue for the team has been announced; only that Windsor will be the newest team in the league when the season tips off in the fall.
Last week CBC News Windsor was first to report the team would soon be making announcements.
Bennett said a head coach could be part of Wednesday's announcement. The league will hold a player combine and camp to evaluate talent at the end of August, Bennett said.
