Fire rages through Windsor restaurant

A fire at Midtown Bar and Grill caused $700,000 in damage. (CBC)
Fire broke out at a restaurant on Walker Road in Windsor just after 3 a.m. Thursday.
The fire department was called around 3:30 a.m. morning. They found heavy smoke inside the building when they arrived.
Crews worked for close to two hours, extinguishing fire between the ceiling and roof.
An inspector will investigate to determine the cause of the fire and a damage estimate.
Fire officials on site told CBC News damage to the Midtown Bar and Grill is close to $1 million. They also said the fire seems to have originated in the kitchen.
Windsor Fire later pegged damage at $700,000.
Walker Road was closed between Calderwood and Lappan avenues but reopened just after 7 a.m.
