Housing starts down in Windsor

Housing starts fell 14 per cent in the Windsor area in June.
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation says foundations were laid for 73 homes, compared to 85 in June of 2011.
The only local municipality to post an increase was LaSalle.
The number of housing starts in Lakeshore was only about half as many as last year.
There were also decreases in Amherstburg and Windsor, while Tecumseh was flat.
The CMHC points out June was the first month since January where area housing starts dropped.
