Windsor at Six anchor Susan Pedler is taking a year off to raise her adopted daughter. (Tom Taylor)
Dear CBC Viewers;
I've decided to take the next year away from the anchor desk in order to do something very exciting: I'm adopting a little girl!
Her story will be hers to tell (or not) someday. But let's just say the Pedler family is incredibly thrilled to be welcoming a new member, especially one so bright, funny and charming.
I'm going to miss my CBC co-workers and I'm going to miss you, our CBC viewers.
Over the last nine years, you have been very, very kind to me. But right now I must focus on my family.
I will be back. Until then, so long.
Susan
