Some of the 4,000 pot plants seized by OPP on Wednesday. (OPP)Provincial police say three Toronto-area men have been arrested after 4,000 marijuana plants were found in the basement of a home just east of Windsor, Ont.
Police say officers arrived at a home in the Town of Lakeshore with a warrant Tuesday night and seized the marijuana and equipment Wednesday.
Sgt. Rick Tonial said the plants are nearly a metre tall.

"The basement looks like a nursery of marijuana plants," he said. "The whole basement is full of marijuana plants."
Police estimated the street value of the plants to be $2 million.
Investigators said the hydro meter at the home had been bypassed.
"The home is owned by someone from Toronto," Tonial said.
He said pot growers "purchase homes from all over and modify the basement into a nursery."
"The suspects travel from home to home taking care of the plants," Tonial said.
Several charges have been laid against the three men, aged 46, 47 and 51, who are awaiting a bail hearing. Their names have not been released.
Tonial said police could end up seizing more than the pot.
"Our proceeds of crime unit is here. If we can determine that they bought something through the sale of drugs we can seize the cars, the home, things like that," he said.
There was also a search at a home in Tecumseh, also just east of Windsor. While no marijuana was found there, police said it appears plants were removed recently.
