Heavy equipment and hazardous materials experts are still at the scene of Thursday's 32-vehicle crash that killed two on Highway 402, east of Sarnia.

They continue to remove the vehicles that were involved in the crash. The collision involved a marked OPP cruiser, two fire trucks and an EMS vehicle. A propane tanker was also involved in the crash.

The Special Investigations Unit on Friday identified the two victims of the crash as 22-year-old Sherri Millar of Toronto and 54-year-old Ronald Brown of Sarnia. They were in separate vehicles during the collision.

The OPP Technical Collision Investigators are still at the scene trying to determine how the crash occurred.

Because police were involved in the collision, the SIU is also investigating the crash. The SIU said the OPP cruiser involved was responding to a separate accident that occurred before the pileup.

Lambton Country OPP report that a portion of eastbound Highway 402 remains closed following Thursday's 32-vehicle crash that killed two.

The highway remains closed from Forest Road to Nauvoo Road.

Police are unable to determine at this time when that section of roadway will open.

The westbound lanes of Highway 402 were re-opened at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, but traffic is restricted to one lane in the area of the crash scene.
