Police allege that artist Bridie Fanning was murdered on Tuesday by a Kingsville man. (Courtesy: Facebook)A 51-year-old-man has been charged with murder in the death of a Kingsville woman Tuesday night, said Ontario Provincial Police on Thursday.
OPP responded to a 911 call at a residence on County Road 34 around 9:30 p.m. The victim, Bridie Fanning, 47, was found dead in an apartment.
The residence where Fanning lived was a home that has been converted into six different apartment dwellings.
After a post mortem exam, conducted on Wednesday, police charged Abraham Froesse-Friessen of Kingsville with her murder. He was a tenant in one of the other apartments on the property, and a neighbour told CBC that Fanning and Froesse-Friessen knew each other.

Gallery Director Chad Riley said he still wishes to exhibit her work at the show.
"Her art was bright and beautiful about nature and life," he said on Thursday.

Thursday morning, OPP investigators were still guarding the scene. An officer had pitched a tent outside at the back of the residence.
Froesse-Friessen is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28.
Police were not releasing any details about how Fanning was killed.
