McMaster offers free tuition to fallen soldiers' children

Hamilton's McMaster University is the latest university to join a program that offers four years of free tuition to the children of Canadian soliders killed in action.
McMaster will also provide residence accommodation and a meal plan for one year to students who are under 26 years old, university officials said on Remembrance Day.
Potential students will have to identify themselves as a son or daughter of a Canadian soldier killed on active duty.
Eligibility will be verified with the Department of Defence. The scholarships will be offered until the end of August 2014.
The university joins the Project Hero program started earlier this year by retired general Rick Hillier, the former chief of defence staff, and honorary Lt.-Col. Kevin Reed.
Project Hero scholarships are already being offered by Memorial University in Newfoundland, the University of Ottawa, the University of Windsor and the University of Calgary.
The program seeks to provide support to children of Canadian military members killed while serving in an active mission.
